Out of breath: Exercising in one of the United States' most polluted areas

To exercise or to stay inside? That is the dilemma that inhabitants of Wilmington, a mostly Hispanic neighborhood of South Los Angeles, face everyday. Air quality is among the worst in the United States due to the city's proximity to five refineries, the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles as well as several highways. It's a reality for many low income Hispanic communities located near heavy industrial zones.
