Position: Elk Grove Village Plant – 2nd Shift Supervisor
Reports To: Plant Manager
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
SUMMARY
Oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficient and timely output while maintaining quality and adhering to safety standards. Responsible for supervising and communicating production operations to personnel in order to ensure that all goals and standards are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Facilitate production needs and oversee day-to-day operations
· Create a work environment that motivates and empowers associates to meet and except expectation for productivity, quality, waste, sanitation and safety
· Utilize IFS ERP system to assign the schedule to the floor
· Schedule coverage for employee breaks and lunches
· Arrive 20 minutes before shift starts to facilitate shift handover
· Check attendance phone line for absent employees and fill out necessary paperwork
· Coordinate work assignments if lines are down, e.g. cleaning lines and manifolds
· Assist operators with product issues
· Work within IFS ERP system to monitor raw material needs and supply: order needed materials from in-house supply and follow up on all requisitions and requests to ensure materials are received, available, assigned, and back-flushed correctly
· Complete a report assessing production, down time and problems
· Supervise, train, and coordinate activities of employees engaged in the manufacturing process to be sure employees are complying with company work rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices
· Coordinate production flow of different departments within the facility.
· Ensure that the proper start up and shut down procedures are followed as necessary
· Ensure quality of product through proper sanitation and housekeeping procedures
· Coordinate with the Quality Assurance department to insure a quality product is produced
· Motivate employees to gain efficiencies and meet targets/expectations
· Communicate any mechanical and/or process issues to the proper personnel and follow up to ensure completion
· management and contractors regarding any major breakdowns or repairs
· Responsible for the safety of plan associates, leads by example and corrects any unsafe behavior observed or reported.
· Compliance with OSHA regulations
· Report all injuries and near misses to the Plant Manager and HR Department at the time of injury; conduct accident investigation and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions
· Must be able to work overtime, weekends and other shifts
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
· A 4-year college degree is preferred
· Must have PC knowledge, including Word, Excel, Power Point and order-processing systems.
Experience:
· 4 years minimum supervisory job experience in confectionary, food or pharmaceutical companies.
· Mechanical knowledge, including high-speed packaging machinery knowledge in a manufacturing environment
· Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Experience in a union environment a plus
Experience with IFS, SAP, GMPs, HAC, Safety and OSHA.
· Ability to stand and walk 8 hours per day and able to lift 50 pounds

SUMMARY: The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all Medicare/Medicaid case-mix documents in order to assure appropriate reimbursement for care and services provided within the Facility. Conducts continual Minimum Data Set (MDS) reviews to assure achievement of optimal allowable Resource Utilization Group (RUG) category. Oversees the overall process and tracking of MDS/Prospective Payment System (PPS) documentation and submission. He/she will integrate nursing, dietary, social recreation, restorative, rehabilitation and physician services to ensure appropriate assessment and reimbursement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assesses and determines the health status and level of care of all new issions.
Ensures the accurate and timely completion of all MDS Assessments including PPS Medicare, quarterly, annual, significant change.
Communicates level of care for new resident to all disciplines.
Coordinates interdisciplinary participation in completing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) for each new ission to facility according to regulatory time frames. Ensures completeness and thoroughness of documentation as mandated by federal, state and medical standards.
Maintains an accurate schedule of all MDS assessments to include the proper reference dates throughout the resident’s stay.
Responsible for the data entry function to assure accurate data entry and electronic submission of MDS assessments.
Verifies electronic submissions of MDS, performs corrections when necessary and maintains appropriate records.
Coordinates interdisciplinary participation in completing the MDS for each resident according to regulatory time frames. Ensures completeness and thoroughness of documentation as mandated by federal and state standards.
Schedules and conducts resident care conferences in compliance with state and federal regulations and ensures completion of all MDS reviews prior to resident care conference.
Assists disciplines in formulating and revising care plans. Ensures that resident’s present/potential problems are identified and prioritized; realistic goals are established and nursing intervention is appropriate.
Evaluates resident care plans for comprehensiveness and individuality.
Assesses the achievement or lack of achievement of desired outcomes. Ensures that resident’s care plan is reassessed and revised appropriately.
Responsible for all level of care changes within the facility. Notifies all departments when a level of care change has been made.
Generates appropriate forms to complete level of acuity and changes. Transmits forms to the appropriate agency for processing as required by state law.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ed Nurse with current unencumbered state licensure.
Long Term Care Experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
